Best Practices for Setting Up Your Skillr Profile

As an expert on the SKILLR App, a well put together profile is key to getting bookings. Think of it as your way to make a solid first impression.

How can you make the right impression so that Seekrs will be lining up to book you? Use these expert tips for setting up your profile so you can bring in the bookings (and the cash)  in no time.

A picture’s worth a grand…or something like that

First things first, upload a photo of yourself. In your photo, you could be showing off your Skillr work or talent or you could go with a professional headshot. Get creative with it. But whatever you decide, make sure your photo is clear and your face is visible. You’ll also want to show off your confidence and welcoming nature.

It’s all in a name

Create a username that reflects you. You could draw inspiration from your stage name, business name or your skill category. Keep in mind that your username is one of the most important elements of your profile as it’s what Seekrs will call you, so make sure it reflects you as both a person and pro.

Say hello

Take a moment to say hey! Record a short video intro for your profile. While this isn’t required, it’s highly recommended as it gives Seekrs a deeper understanding of who you are and how you can help them. Also, be sure to list your credentials and the services you offer in your bio. This builds trust with Seekrs as it gives them a peek into your expertise and experience.
