The SKILLR App is finally live! Here’s everything you need to know about how the app works and how to get started on it.
How it works
SKILLR is a live, 1:1 knowledge-sharing, coaching and entertainment platform that empowers you to learn, grow and be entertained anytime, anywhere. On SKILLR, you can connect via video chat with experts from a variety of disciplines instantly. Whether you need help fixing things around the house, a personalized workout or a live makeup tutorial, Skillrs have you covered!
How to get started
Download the app
Download the SKILLR App on the App Store for iPhone. SKILLR is free to download and your first two-minute SKILLR intro session is on us! For any sessions after that, you’ll just be charged at the Skillr’s per-minute rate. Did we mention we love freebies here?
Set up an account
Once you’ve got SKILLR loaded up and ready to go, you can create an account. No pressure though— you’re not required to create one unless you decide to use a free intro session credit or schedule a session. Account creation requires info such as your name, email, phone number and date of birth. You won’t need to enter credit card info until after you’ve used your free intro session credit.
Explore genres
To explore Skillrs, you can select one of the following genres:
Eat & Drink
Fix Stuff
Get Fit
Make Art
Be Entertained
Find Your Look
Get Smart
Get Advice
Get Coached
Use your free session
After you’ve finished account setup and gotten familiar with the genres in the app, you can use your free session credit. If you want to continue the sesh beyond the initial free minutes, you can rebook the Skillr at their per-minute rate.
Book a session in two ways:
Book Now: If there’s a particular Skillr you want to work with and they’re currently available, you can hit “Book Now.” If for some reason they’re unable to answer, you’ll get connected with another available Skillr instantly.
Instant Match: Need a Skillr pronto? Press the Instant Match button, choose a skill and we’ll match you with an available Skillr right away. We don’t say “know how right now™” for nothing.
