There are many cannabis recipes to try, from breakfast to dinner and even dessert. You can experiment with your own edibles or you can get help from an expert on SKILLR. We know that no matter where you are in your cannabis journey, there's just something extra special that happens when you infuse THC into your favorite foods.
Before you get started, we recommend checking with your local laws on using cannabis products. With that in mind, read on for all of our recommendations for delicious culinary cannabis recipes.
Rice Krispy Treats
Take a walk down memory lane with this favorite childhood treat! With one tiny ingredient change, these aren't your mom's Rice Krispy Treats from back in the day. For this recipe, you'll mix cannabutter, regular butter and marshmallows in a microwaveable bowl or in a pot on the stove and melt them all down. Then you'll stir in your Rice Krispies cereal. Finally, press into a greased 9x13 pan. Let them cool, then divide into 12 equal servings. These fun sweets are a favorite for SKILLR pro and Cannabis Journalist Bianca Blanche who says her "go-to" cannabis recipe is chocolate Rice Krispy treats.
Scrambled Eggs
This is for the wake-and-bakers who aren't into smoking cannabis for various reasons. Outside of using infused vegetable or olive oil, we can assume you already know how to make scrambled eggs. Anyone who doesn't might want to practice that prerequisite before trying their hand at edibles. In any case, toss in spinach, peppers or your favorite omelet additions, and add hot sauce to balance out the weed flavor that infused oil can carry.
Cannabis Butter
Cannabis butter is very easy to prepare and can be used to make some of your favorite dishes with cannabis. You need about 1 ounce of unsalted butter and 1/2 ounce of fine cannabis. Make sure that the butter is melted and then add the marijuana. Put it in the microwave until it turns green. Place the mixture in a container and refrigerate.
Marijuana Tea
Similar to edibles, cannabis-infused tea allows you to consume cannabis without the harshness on your lungs that comes from smoking or vaping. For this recipe, you'll need 1 gram of ground cannabis, 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter or coconut oil, a teabag of your choosing, 4 cups of water, a fine strainer and any other ingredients for a more balanced flavor such as milk, sugar or cinnamon.
Cannabis Baked Chicken
Another classic dinner time staple that simply substitutes oil for the square variety, cannabis-infused baked chicken helps the high stay strong throughout the day without the sugars and fats. Simply measure a tablespoon of the oil and pour over the chicken breast before baking it in the oven (the THC oil isn't as effective when cooled on the grill or frying pan). You can do the same with rice or couscous for a fully infused meal.
Space cake
This simple and easy recipe can be made in the oven quickly. You can customize this batter as a special treat. Keep in mind, there’s also the option to prepare cannabutter in a separate batch. It's an individual choice to add more marijuana to this delicious dessert. Many experienced cooks and growers never use the cannabis buds but instead the stem of a plant. Melt 245 g of butter on high heat. Remove from the mixer. Add eight grams of marijuana and enjoy!
Special Brownies
Ah yes, you already knew this legend had to make an appearance. For the easiest process, combine cannabutter with eggs, water and a favorite brownie mix of your choice. Pour the mixture into a lined baking tray and cook for 30 minutes at 330 degrees F.
Take the brownies out of the oven and let them cool for about 20-30 minutes before enjoying one of the best homemade edibles in existence. For help with making brownies from scratch, book a session with one of our cannabis experts on the SKILLR app. They'll help you take this classic recipe to the next level.
Weed Ice Cream
Cannabis-infused frozen treats are perfect to beat the summer heat. Warm 18 ounces of cream to boiling point. In the same bowl, warm 1 lb of butter with 25 g sugar and 1 pinch of salt until smooth. Deposit 1/4-oz of weed into hot melted butter and mix. Peel banana leaves into bowls. Add rum or honey to the banana. Add bananas and melted butter. Pour it into a large container and freeze.
Marijuana Lollipops
For an easy cannabis recipe you can enjoy on the go, these sweet lollipops are ideal. A marijuana tincture is required, but it’s a cinch to make by soaking decarbed weed in alcohol for approximately 21 days.
Once ready, combine sugar, corn syrup and water in a saucepan over medium heat. When the sugar has dissolved, bring to a boil, then let it simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes. Immediately remove the pan and immerse it in ice water.
Mix in the cannabis tincture and quickly pour the liquid into lollipop molds or you can form circles on a baking tray as desired. Finally, press in the lollipop sticks and add sprinkles or any edible addition you like. Once cooled, these lollies are ready to enjoy!
No Bake Canna Cookies
These tasty no-bake canna cookies can be made easily and fast—no cooking necessary. Mix together two cups of sugar, 4 tablespoons of cocoa, 1/2 cup of cannabutter and 1 cup of milk. Once mixed, add three cups of oatmeal and one spoon of vanilla. Mix the ingredients together and place heaping spoonfuls onto a wax cookie sheet. Allow to cool for about 30 minutes and enjoy.
