So basic

If you’re looking to build a growing garden from scratch this spring, Angela suggests starting with the basics. “Having a successful garden starts with healthy soil,” she said. “Learn how to make your own compost to help build healthy soil by talking to one of our garden experts.”

Something’s brewing

Your morning cup of coffee can do more than give you a boost of energy. Angela shared that we can use it to improve our gardens. “Did you know leftover coffee grounds are a great soil amendment?” she said. “Not only that, you will also attract earthworms to your garden with that java java!”

Chop it up

While you’re getting a fresh haircut for spring, don’t forget to give your herbs a little trim too. “A well-trimmed plant will be a very healthy one,” Angela shared. “Learn how to properly trim your herbs with tips from our gardeners.”

Make your plants happy by paying attention to them and showing them some love on the regular. “Don't forget that your indoor plants need food just like you,” Angela reminded.

Get the light right

A common plant problem you might face is uneven growth. To solve this, Angela suggests rotating the plant. “Is your plant growing to one side?” she said. “Maybe it's not getting the right amount of light.”

It’s getting hot in here

“Some plants need a more humid environment to thrive,” Angela said. “Getting a humidifier can do just the trick to help keep those tropical plants happy!”
