5 Valentine's Day Makeup Looks to Try
Getting ready for a hot Valentine’s Day date? Skillrs have you covered when it comes to making sure you look good. Makeup artist and Skillr Jazmine Luna Flores is sharing a few looks and tips to try so you can get your Valentine’s Day 2022 makeup all the way together. Euphoria on my mind
You can’t go anywhere on the Internet these days without seeing a dank “Euphoria” meme, so it should come as no surprise that the colorful, crystal-encrusted makeup styles from the show are also trending. Channel the show’s chaotic and bold energy for your Valentine’s Day date night or girls’ night look. “This year is all about the Euphoric gems, and red lips are never going out of style,” Jazmine explained. To add gems to your face, Jazmine suggests using eyelash glue. “You simply place the glue where you want the gems and wait 15 seconds before sticking your gem on it,” she said.
You can also channel your fave “Euphoria” character with this blended eyeshadow look. The neon pinks and purples capture nostalgia and romance.
Blowing kisses
Lips aren’t just for kissing this year. For the bold, Jazmine encouraged something creative but easy. “2022 creative trends to try are the ‘kisses as eyeshadow’ and the eye/face and body gems,” she said. “For a more simple trend, you can always do a red or pink eyeliner instead of a black liner.”
To create kiss eyeshadow, Jazmine recommends that you “simply wear your favorite red lipstick, kiss a plastic wrap, and use that as a stamp to stamp your eyes.”
For a themed eyeliner, she shares, “If you don't have a red liner, you can simply use an eyeliner brush. Grab your lipstick and use the lipstick to line your eyes. If you have red eyeshadow, you can use that as well and make it a smokey eyeliner!”
Heart Eyes
Bring a whole new meeting to heart-eyes with this unique and fun look. Top it off with a red lip for an extra pop.
For the perfect red lip that stays kissable all night, Jazmine recommends one simple tip:
“If you have a glossy red that transfers, you can bring a thin tissue paper pressed against your lips and brush some setting powder over that. That will make your lips dry matte and last all through the night of kisses!”
Subtle and sweet
This look features subtle browns and golds but don’t mistake subtlety for a lack of anything. The colors will especially work to bring out brown eyes and can add some sass and sophistication to any Valentine’s Day lewk.
