How to Market Yourself as a Skillr

Want to book more calls as a Skillr? Marketing yourself is essential to getting the most out of your profile and making sure you make that dough.

Use these tips to level up your marketing efforts as a Skillr

Game, set, match

The first step to marketing yourself as a Skillr is making sure your profile is fully set up. It may sound simple but fully filling out your bio, adding a high-quality photo and recording a welcome video can all help build trust with Seekrs.

Profiles that are fully filled out are more likely to receive bookings, as Seekrs are able to get a better understanding of the Skillr’s personality, skill set and how they can help.

Follow my lead

Once you’ve perfected your profile, it’s time to show it off. We recommend announcing that you’re officially taking sessions as a Skillr on your social channels.

If you have an existing following, this can be especially helpful and gives your followers a chance to connect with you in a more personalized way. But even if you don’t, your friends, family and professional contacts could be just as excited to book a session and learn from you.

Linking to the app or mentioning you’re taking sessions in your social media bio can also be a helpful way for new followers to learn that they can book with you.

Finally, regularly posting fun content like reels and TikTok clips can help demonstrate your expertise to followers and remind them you’re available to help them on the app.

Get featured

On the app’s homepage, we regularly feature Skillrs in the Featured Skillrs section. While this section is randomly generated by an algorithm, there are other ways to be featured within the SKILLR community.

Use the hashtag #SKILLRApp on Instagram, TikTok and Twitter for a chance to be spotlighted on the @skillrapp page.
